Countries Tighten Borders for Holidays

As reported by AOL

The season of giving is upon us, but not all countries are in the receiving mood this year. As countries tighten borders for holidays, the risk of allowing a spread of Covid-19 is too great this year. Countries in Europe and Asia are starting to place regulations on travelers in preparation of the holiday season and also in an attempt to limit the spread of Covid-19.

As countries tighten borders for holidays, they do so knowing the new variant of Covid-19 has been detected in South Africa, causing the changes this past Friday.

While European countries have started boosting in preparation of the holiday season, new cases are starting to spike. The restrictions are to help prevent the spread during a time when families, specifically in Europe and America, connect and gather to celebrate the Christmas season.
