As the highly contagious Delta variant spreads across the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have continued to urge Americans to avoid non essential international travel. However, one doctor believes this is not enough, Dr. Ebony Jade Hilton states “If we’re going to talk about traveling to the U.K., then we should also caution Americans about traveling to Florida,” Hilton said. “Right now, one in every five new COVID cases are coming out of Florida.” In the AOL article, Seana Smith states that in Florida. “the number of new COVID-19 cases nearly doubled in the state last week from the prior week.” Many doctors such as Hilton believe that the Delta variant is a “game changer”.
